Role description:

We are seeking a motivated entry level candidate to join our team as a Technology Systems Designer. With the ability to work in AutoCAD & Revit you will be learning and assisting in the design of technology systems in the low voltage industry, including Audio-Visual, Security and ICT communications. Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, familiarity with design tools such as Visio and Bluebeam, and a willingness to learn and contribute to agile, sprint-based project workflows.

Role accountabilities:

• Report to the Senior Technology Systems Specialist and Technology Systems Architect;
• Systems design of Audio-Visual, Security, Access Control, ICT, Structured Cabling solutions;
• Draft written design specifications of technology solutions;
• Develop drawings using CAD/Revit, Visio, Bluebeam and including systems line diagrams, floor plans and elevations;
• Evaluation of technology equipment available in the industry for suitability of use in design solutions;
• Liaise with design team including electrical, mechanical and architectural consultants;
• Attend design meetings with clients and design team;
• Assist in development of budgetary implementation costs;

Qualifications & Experience:

• Capable with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word and Excel
• Ability to work in CAD/Revit
• Comfortable working with remote task assignment software programs
• Familiarity and comfort in working in agile sprint based team assignment and organizational structure
• Experience working with design markup programs such as Visio, Bluebeam, CAD
• Ability to work with remote enabling technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom, Go To Meeting etc.
• Confident with the ability to build strong working relationships
• Energetic, diplomatic, flexible, problem-solving mindset
• Strong organizational and prioritizing skills with the ability to take initiative
• Engineering/ Architectural / Construction Industry experience beneficial

The salary range for this position is $54,000-84,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.
