Role:

Audits and verifies cash reports against actual cash. Responsible for clerical duties necessary for efficient office operation.

Responsibilities:
  1. Audit the accounting and financial data of various departments to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations.
  2. Identify improper accounting or documentation.
  3. Audit daily records of revenue-generating departments for compliance with gaming regulations and company policies.
  4. Prepare manual and computer-based accounting records and reports.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Background in accounting or auditing preferred.
  • Basic mathematical skills; ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Proficiency with a ten-key calculator.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Basic computer skills, including internet, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
  • Knowledge of casino internal controls and systems.
  • Must possess a Mississippi Gaming Commission work permit.
  • Outgoing personality and good interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and professionalism.
  • High energy and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow written instructions and regulations.
Training:

All employees must complete mandatory compliance training within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter. Required courses include Active Shooter Awareness, Cybersecurity, Safety, Hazard Communication, Responsible Gaming, Title 31 Overview and SAR Reporting, PCI Fraud Prevention, Sexual Harassment, and Title 26 & Form 8300.

Working Conditions:

Physical demands vary from standing, walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, to repetitive motions. Environmental conditions include temperature extremes, noise, vibration, hazards, cigarette smoke, and atmospheric conditions. The physical effort required is light work.
