Job summary

TeksMed Services Inc. in Chilliwack, BC, is seeking a Return to Work Coordinator to support employers and injured workers. You will manage WCB/WSIB claims and guide the return-to-work process, coordinating with healthcare providers, employers and regulators.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in an administrative or medical role.
  • Strong business writing, documentation and research skills.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate, negotiate and problem-solve independently.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to make confident decisions.
  • Commitment to completing NIDMAR courses within 12 months.
  • Understanding of WCB/WSIB policies is a plus; training provided.

Responsibilities

Job description

TeksMed is seeking a Return to Work Coordinator to join our Chilliwack team. In this role, you will support employers and injured workers by managing WCB/WSIB claims and guiding the return-to-work process.

You will collaborate with employers, injured workers, healthcare providers, and WCB/WSIB representatives to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective return-to-work outcomes. Your responsibilities include reviewing claim information, identifying potential delays, coordinating medical and workplace information, and facilitating modified duties or further medical assessments as needed.

We’re hiring for fit, attitude and potential—we will provide training on the technical aspects of claims management and return-to-work coordination. The Return To Work Coordinator Will

To be successful as a Return to Work Coordinator with TeksMed, you will need:
  • 2+ years in an administrative and/or medical role in a professional environment.
  • Strong business writing, documentation, and research skills.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable communicating, negotiating, and problem-solving independently.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to make confident decisions.
  • Commitment to complete NIDMAR courses and certification within 12 months.
  • Comprehension of contentious claims and WCB/WSIB policies, procedures, and requirements is an asset, and we’re happy to provide training.
  • Understanding of medical terminology is an asset, with full support and guidance provided for learning.

Salary Range

The base salary for this position is between $50,000 - 60,000 annually.

This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be able to provide additional details of the total compensation for this role.
