Job description

We are searching for a Retirement Analyst to join our National Indigenous Solutions Practice in Winnipeg, Burlington, or Burnaby. The Retirement Analyst plays a central role in advancing the Group Retirement practice within National Indigenous Solutions (NIS) Practice. This role blends data management, pricing support, market analysis, and insight generation to support both client retention and growth.

Working closely with the National Director, Group Retirement Strategy, the Retirement Analyst will act as a key contributor to how we collect, analyze, and apply data across a national block of business. The role is equal parts analytical and strategic. They will automate processes by leveraging AI, and deliver differentiated insights to Indigenous organizations and communities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a high‑potential analyst to develop deep expertise in group retirement while helping shape a modern, data‑driven practice.

Responsibilities
  • Data Management & Integrity
    • Maintain and validate client and member data across group retirement programs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
    • Identify and resolve data gaps, inconsistencies, and anomalies across multiple data sources.
    • Build and maintain structured datasets to support reporting, pricing, and insight generation.
    • Establish disciplined processes to improve data quality and accessibility across the practice.
  • Reporting & Benchmarking
    • Develop and maintain reporting frameworks and benchmarking models across the NIS block of business.
    • Produce recurring and ad‑hoc reports for client reviews, internal leadership, and new business opportunities.
    • Leverage AI tools to automate reporting processes and enhance data visualization.
    • Translate complex datasets into clear, client‑ready insights that demonstrate value and market positioning.
  • Pricing & New Business Support
    • Coordinate the preparation and management of group retirement quote requests with insurance carriers.
    • Analyze pricing proposals, prepare comparisons, and support recommendation development.
    • Build impactful, client‑facing proposal materials for both existing and prospective clients.
    • Support RFP responses and finalist presentations in partnership with business development and client management teams.
  • Insights & Strategy Enablement
    • Analyze plan performance, member behaviour, and utilization trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Develop data‑driven insights that inform plan design, investment menus, and member engagement strategies.
    • Research industry trends and competitive positioning to strengthen NIS market differentiation.
    • Utilize AI tools to accelerate analysis and surface insights across large and complex datasets.
  • Operational Support & Collaboration
    • Partner closely with the National Director, Group Retirement Strategy, and broader NIS leadership team.
    • Prepare materials for client meetings, plan reviews, and internal strategic discussions.
    • Support governance processes and ensure readiness of documentation and reporting requirements.
    • Contribute to a collaborative, high‑performing team environment aligned to NIS priorities.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis, financial services, group retirement, or a related field.
  • Foundational understanding of group retirement programs, pricing, and reporting (or strong ability to learn quickly).
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Demonstrated hands‑on experience using AI tools (e.g., Copilot, automation tools) to enhance analysis, improve workflows, and generate insights.
  • Strong ability to work with large, multi‑source datasets and translate findings into clear business narratives.
  • Experience supporting pricing, proposals, or client‑facing deliverables is an asset.
  • High attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including building client‑ready materials.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a mindset of continuous improvement through technology.

The base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $75,000 per annum.

This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus, etc). The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job‑related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
