Base pay range

CA$17.85/hr - CA$17.85/hr

Position Summary

The Retail Sales Technician is responsible for the day-to-day summer operations, sales, and transactions, providing excellent customer assistance. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for the bike industry as well as ski and board knowledge. This role involves supporting the team and customers with technical information and in-depth product knowledge.

Major Responsibilities

• POS Sales Processing/Paper Handling
• Process all sales transactions efficiently and courteously
• File forms, vouchers, and documents appropriately
• Handle cash accurately and reconcile at the end of each shift
• Customer Service
• Provide excellent service and a memorable shopping experience
• Maintain good product knowledge to assist customers effectively
• Create a welcoming shop environment
• Answer phones and reply to work emails
• Answer questions about Red Mountain Resort services and activities
• Inventory & Merchandising
• Keep the environment clean, tidy, and inviting
• Receive and reconcile merchandise, tag stock, and monitor inventory levels
• Restock shelves as needed and prevent merchandise loss

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education

• High School diploma minimum; post-secondary education is an asset

Experience

• Preferred experience in mountain bike industry or retail
• Good retail product knowledge
• Experience with POS software, cash handling, and retail operations

Physical & Other Requirements

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
• Work on your feet for extended periods and carry stock upstairs
