Job summary

Roots is seeking a Team Lead to set the tone on the sales floor, coach teammates, and help deliver memorable customer experiences while achieving store goals. Reporting to the Store Manager, you’ll lead by example, motivate the team, and partner with management to execute daily plans.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of retail experience in apparel, strong communication, and a coaching mindset. Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required, with opportunities for growth within Roots.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of retail experience, ideally in apparel.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in customer service and store standards.
• Provide on-the-floor coaching and feedback throughout the shift.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
• Share goals, priorities, and information with the team to hit sales and CX goals.
• Assist in coordinating team efforts and delegating tasks.
• Resolve customer concerns with a calm, solutions-focused approach.
• Identify issues and opportunities and share feedback with leadership.
• Recognize and celebrate team successes and positive behaviours.
• Support store management in executing action plans and operating procedures.
