Job summary

SHREEJI CORNER INC. based in Scarborough, ON is seeking a Supervisor – retail who will lead a small team in a dynamic retail environment. This permanent, full-time role offers flexible hours and a salary of $20.00 to $22.00 hourly, with 30 to 40 hours per week.

The successful candidate will start as soon as possible. The role requires English fluency, a high school diploma, 1–2 years of related experience, and the ability to supervise 3–4 people including cashiers and clerks.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required.
• High school graduation required.
• 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise 3–4 staff.
• Supervise cashiers, grocery clerks, shelf stockers and sales clerks.
• Be reliable, organised and a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Assign duties to sales workers and oversee daily operations.
• Hire, train or arrange staff training as needed.
• Authorize cheque payments and manage payments.
• Order and inventory merchandise; authorize returns.
• Establish work schedules and supervise staff performance.
• Sell merchandise and prepare sales, merchandising and personnel reports.
• Address customer requests, complaints and supply shortages as needed.
• Organize and maintain inventory; supervise and coordinate team activities.
