Job summary

Best Buy Canada is seeking a retail store leader to manage operations for one of our Calgary market locations. The role focuses on leading a large team, driving sales, and delivering superior customer experiences.

You will oversee store performance, coach staff, and collaborate with other departments to meet business goals. The role requires a track record of success in high-volume retail and a commitment to an inclusive, fun workplace.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading a hospitality or retail team of 50+ associates.
• 5+ years of experience managing and reviewing operational expenses and revenue.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals in a high-volume store.
• Ability to create an inclusive, fun and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations and lead a team of assistant store leaders, team leads, and advisors.
• Partner with all business areas and vendors to drive results.
• Motivate, coach, and develop the team to help customers find the best product or service.
• Oversee store KPIs: revenue, merchandising standards, inventory health, health and safety.
• Maintain a healthy profit and loss.

What you’ll do:

• Oversee all aspects of our store, from leading a team of assistant store leaders, team leads and advisors to partnering with all areas of the business, and vendors
• Motivate, coach, develop and inspire your team to help customers find the perfect product or service
• Cultivate an inclusive team and learning culture while having fun!
• Oversee store KPI's (revenue, merchandising standards, inventory health, health and safety)
• Maintain a healthy profit and loss

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years of experience leading a hospitality or retail team of at least 50 associates in a fast-paced and high-volume location
• 5+ years of experience managing and reviewing operational expenses and revenue
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals in a high-sales volume store
• Ability to create an inclusive, fun and safe work environment
• The first store(s) you will be placed in are Deerfoot Meadows or Sunridge
• In this role you will be placed permanently in any of our Calgary store locations(eg:Calgary 17th Avenue, Deerfoot Meadows, Northland, Shawnessy, Sunridge and Westhills Calgary)and ability to commute to those locations is required
