• Willingness to follow site protocol to prevent theft.
• Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifters is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Establish a strong security presence to deter crime and theft.
• Identify, monitor and approach subjects who may have unpaid merchandise.
• Document theft and other security violations.
• Observe the premises, provide access control and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Complete incident reports and required documentation for security incidents.
• Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, customers and patrons.
• Respond to emergencies and elevate to law enforcement as required.

What You Will Do

• Establish a strong security presence to deter crime and theft
• Identify, monitor and approach subjects who may have unpaid merchandise
• Document theft and other security violations
• Observe the premises, provide access control and respond to emergency situations in an appropriate and timely mannerPerform safety and security duties with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity
• Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
• Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly
• Provide excellent customer service to our clients, customers and patrons
• Respond to emergencies and elevate to law enforcement agencies as required

The Ideal Candidate

• A keen interest in asset protection
• Willing to stand for the duration of the shift
• Previous security experience in a retail environment is preferred
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to attend meetings and improve skills’
• Ability to work without close supervision
• Must be willing and comfortable to follow site protocol to prevent theft
• Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifters is an asset
• Use of Force Certification is an asset
