Job summary

Jobtailor is hiring a part-time merchandiser to sell Mars Snacking products at retail outlets across a designated territory. You will manage stocking, ordering, and promotional compliance while using handheld tech and POS systems to optimize pricing and distribution.

The role requires travel within the territory, strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to plan routes and schedules efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Previous sales experience is an asset.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work 24 hours per week, Monday-Wednesday.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory and visit retail outlets.
• Ability to use hand-held technology and POS systems.
• Ability to plan and organize route schedules according to the company call coverage model.
• Ability to follow company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sell, distribute, and merchandise Mars Snacking products at retail outlets across assigned territories.
• Suggest orders and sell presentation programs to customers.
• Present and sell booking sheets to stores.
• Maintain product distribution and sell new innovation.
• Ensure promotional and seasonal compliance within designated retail outlets.
• Keep shelves stocked with listed products.
• Refill merchandiser fixtures and secure secondary display space.
• Use POS for effective merchandising and pricing.
• Rotate products on-shelf and in backrooms to ensure quality and freshness.
• Maintain accurate business data using hand-held technology.
• Manage territory customer coverage and organize route schedules.
• Follow banner frequency and time-in-call requirements.
• Allocate time according to segment priorities.
• Keep the DSM updated on territory activity.
• Maintain merchandising supplies and POS materials.
• Follow procedures for time, expenses, product waste, mileage, credits, and samples.
• Read and act on field communications and priorities.
• Support special Sales team projects as assigned.
• Perform other assigned duties and communicate with the Sales Organization.
• Participate in Engagement Action Planning
