Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a part-time merchandiser in Winnipeg, MB. The role focuses on selling, merchandising, and distributing Mars Snacking products across assigned retail outlets.

You will suggest orders, present booking sheets, and ensure promotional compliance while keeping shelves stocked and prices accurate using a handheld device and POS systems. The candidate should have a high school diploma, customer-facing experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
• Previous sales experience is an asset.

Job description

• Sell, distribute, and merchandise Mars Snacking products at retail outlets across assigned territory
• Suggest orders and sell presentation programs to customers
• Present and sell booking sheets to stores
• Maintain distribution of assigned products and sell new innovation
• Ensure promotional and seasonal compliance in designated retail outlets
• Keep shelves stocked with listed products
• Refill merchandiser fixtures and secure secondary display space with customers
• Use POS for effective merchandising and pricing
• Rotate products on shelves and in backrooms to ensure quality and freshness
• Maintain accurate business data using handheld technology
• Manage territory and customer call coverage efficiently
• Plan and organize route schedules according to the company call coverage model
• Keep DSM updated on territory activity
• Maintain stock of merchandising supplies and POS materials
• Follow company policies and procedures for time, expenses, product waste, mileage, credits, and samples
• Read and understand field communications and priorities
• Support special Sales team projects as assigned
• Communicate with the Sales Organization and complete other assigned responsibilities, including Engagement Action Planning

Requirements

• High school graduate
• Experience in a customer-facing role
• Previous sales experience an asset
• Valid driver’s license
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work 24 hours per week, Monday–Wednesday
• Ability to work in Winnipeg, Manitoba and surrounding towns
