Job summary

Venor is seeking a Retail Manager for our Halifax location, overseeing day-to-day operations with a team of about 16 employees. You’ll cultivate a positive culture, ensure exceptional customer service, and implement scalable processes to drive growth.

You’ll lead by example in a busy store with an on-site café, collaborating across teams to deliver a seamless customer experience while optimizing operations and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 15 employees.
• Create and manage employee schedules.
• Oversee inventory management, purchasing, and product ordering.
• Ensure the store operates efficiently while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
• Act as the primary point of contact for staff, providing guidance, support, and problem-solving.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational processes and systems.
• Monitor inventory levels and merchandising standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe retail environment.
• Work collaboratively with the café team to ensure smooth daily operations across the business.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and effectively.
• Assist with general routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Support the business wherever needed, in a collaborative environment.
