Job summary

Walmart Canada in Merritt, BC is seeking a General Merchandise Associate to deliver friendly customer service, keep the sales floor organized, and support stocking and merchandising across the general merchandise area. You will help customers find products, answer questions, and participate in safety and cleanliness routines while working a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Delivers friendly and professional customer service by greeting customers, assisting with product selection, promoting products and services, helping locate merchandise, supporting purchase decisions, and resolving or referring customer concerns as needed.
• Covers assigned areas of the sales floor and assists with Front End coverage when required.
• Zones assigned areas to maintain a clean and organized sales floor; moves feature merchandise to its modular location and processes recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas.
• Stocks merchandise and picks, completes downstocking as required, applies product protection when needed, and sets and completes modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment by following Company policies and procedures, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
