Job summary

Pilot Company in Ontario, Fort Erie, invites an experienced Retail General Manager to lead our high‑volume travel center and restaurant operations. You will develop and execute business plans to hit sales, profit targets and customer satisfaction, while building strong teams and a guest‑first culture.

This role requires 2–3 years of retail management with P&L accountability, a talent for coaching, scheduling nights to weekends, and vendor collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, grocery or service industry with financial results responsibility.
• Previous management in high-volume retail with P&L accountability.
• Ability to create and maintain a customer-focused culture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of high-volume travel center and restaurant to meet sales and service standards.
• Lead staffing, interviewing, hiring and training of team members.
• Drive sales, manage team performance, and track inventory.
• Provide excellent customer service and perform P&L analysis.

Pilot Flying J is seeking an experienced Retail General Manager to oversee our high-volume retail facilities. You will be responsible for the generation and execution of travel center and restaurant business plans to achieve established standards, sales and profit objectives as well as customer satisfaction.

The Retail General Manager will also be:

• Ensuring that customer expectations are met
• Conducting meetings with subordinate employees
• Maintaining effective vendor relationships

As a Retail General Manager for Pilot Flying J, you will build, coach, manage and develop teams from a staffing, interviewing, hiring and training standpoint.

Additional responsibilities for the Retail General Manager include:

• Driving sales
• Managing team members
• Tracking inventory
• Providing customer service
• Performing P&L analysis

This position is for a current vacancy.

Pay: Expected annual earnings of $64,000 to $75,000 plus short term monthly incentive opportunity.

Paid per hour while in the training position.

As a Retail General Manager, you must exemplify integrity and accountability at the managerial level as well as demonstrate excellent team leadership skills. Furthermore, you must be able to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends and holidays.

Additional requirements of the Retail General Manager include:
