Job summary

True North Cannabis Co. in Niagara Falls is hiring a part-time Sales Associate to help guests navigate cannabis and vape products with warmth and accuracy. You will provide product knowledge, assist with upselling, and uphold store policies and provincial regulations.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, handling cash and POS operations, performing age verification, and supporting inventory and store cleanliness. A CannSell certification and retail experience are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age or older
• Valid CannSell Certification required (must be provided prior to start date)
• 1+ years of retail or customer service experience, preferably in a regulated industry
• Experience handling cash and operating a POS system
• Previous keyholder or leadership experience is an asset
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement

True North Cannabis’ sales associate role is to help all guests - novice and veteran - navigate the wide world of recreational cannabis and vapes. As a sales associate you are passionate and stays up on industry news. You will include True North's element of culture and passion in your interactions with guests which creates a rich and meaningful experience. Sales associates are required to stay informed about latest products as well as the legal system's requirements. Sales associates will provide guidance and educate customers about cannabis and vape products, so all True North's guests will have a safe and enjoyable experience.

About the Role

This dynamic role supports both vape/tobacco and cannabis retail operations, while also fulfilling responsibilities during keyholder shifts. The ideal candidate brings energy, integrity, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences while adhering to provincial regulations and store policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Welcome and assist all customers with professionalism and warmth

Store Operations & Compliance

• Ensure proper age verification (19+) for all customers in accordance with AGCO and Smoke-Free Ontario Act regulations
• Follow all compliance procedures for cannabis and tobacco product handling, display, and sales
• Maintain store cleanliness and participate in daily cleaning, restocking, and general upkeep
• Support with inventory control, including receiving shipments, organizing stock, and rotating product
• Participate in store events, safety inspections, and internal audits

Keyholder Duties (as assigned)

• Open and close the store in accordance with security and operational procedures
• Perform end-of-day cash reconciliation and reporting
• Lead the sales floor in the absence of a manager and delegate tasks appropriately
• Ensure adherence to all store policies and safety protocols during your shift
• Act as a point of contact for staff and customers during keyholder shift

Part-time hours range : 0 - 31 hours per week

Full- time hours range : 32 - 44 hours per week
