True North Cannabis Co. is seeking a Cannabis & Vape Sales Associate to support cannabis and vape retail operations in Brighton, ON. The role emphasizes delivering outstanding customer service, product knowledge, and compliant sales in a busy store environment.

You will greet customers, explain products, and guide purchases while ensuring laws and policies are followed. Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Represent cannabis and vape brands to customers and guide purchase decisions.
• Deliver excellent customer experience by listening to needs and answering questions.
• Educate customers on product formats, sizes and accessories to improve satisfaction.
• Process transactions accurately at the POS and handle cash securely.
• Assist with inventory, stocking and merchandising to maintain store standards.
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations and verify customer IDs.

What You Bring to the Team

Must meet the legal age requirements for employment in Ontario cannabis retail.

Must hold a valid, AGCO-approved cannabis retail training certification (CannSell or another currently approved program) before performing cannabis retail duties.

Ability to meet applicable background screening and regulatory eligibility requirements.

Previous Experience Is an Asset

Previous experience in customer service, sales, or retail operations.

Knowledge of cannabis strains, product formats, accessories, vaping devices, e-liquids, and related products.

Experience using retail POS systems and handling inventory.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout scheduled shifts.

Frequent bending, reaching, and occasional lifting of merchandise up to 40 lbs.

Ability to work shifts lasting approximately 8–12 hours, depending on scheduling requirements.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team for all or part of a scheduled shift.

Ability to complete routine cleaning, stocking, merchandising, and store maintenance tasks.

Schedule: Monday to Sunday, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Operating Hours: Store hours may range from 8:00 AM to 11:30 PM, depending on location.

Part-Time Hours: Up to 30 hours per week, based on operational requirements.

Full-Time Hours: Generally 31–44 hours per week, based on position and operational requirements.
