Job summary

Dollar Tree Canada is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run store operations, enhance customer service, and develop team members at the Strathroy location.

Responsibilities include assisting with merchandise flow, opening/closing, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and maintaining store standards while ensuring a safe, positive environment for customers and associates. Part-time and full-time roles with starting pay of $17.85–$19.10 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers with questions in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives, maintain displays, and ensure store standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and secure assets.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates; maintain a safe, respectful environment.
