Job summary

Subway in Burlington, ON is seeking an Assistant Manager to focus on guest experience, food safety, cleanliness, inventory, scheduling, and safety standards.

You will lead a team of 4–12, assist with events/promotions, training, and product ordering. Full-time and part-time shifts vary by location; onsite work.

This role offers hands-on restaurant experience and opportunities in a brand partner network.

Qualifications

• Education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Must be an excellent communicator.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS system and handle cash register.
• Supervise and schedule 4–12 staff, assigning and evaluating work.

In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful
• Assisting with product ordering and inventory as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical: Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
