Job summary

Subway seeks an Assistant Manager to support daily restaurant operations and drive guest satisfaction. You will lead a team, ensure quality food preparation, and uphold cleanliness and safety standards.

You will assist in scheduling, inventory, and staff training, while participating in promotions and events. This role requires strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent Guest experience and ensure great food is prepared and served.
• Keep the restaurant functional, clean and welcoming.
• Schedule and supervise staff; assist in event planning and promotions.
• Assist with product ordering and inventory as needed.
• Maintain standards of restaurant safety and security.

As part of the Subway® Team, you as an Assistant Manager will focus on seven main things:

• Controlling inventory
• Scheduling and supervising staff
• Maintaining standards of restaurant safety and security
• Being a team player

In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful
• Assisting with product ordering and inventory as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
