Concord Hospitality seeks an inspirational Restaurant Supervisor for The Wilde at The Dorian Autograph Collection Calgary Downtown. You will oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional service, working with servers, hosts, and bartenders.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in a similar role, hospitality education, strong leadership, and a passion for wine and beverages. You will lead with energy, train staff, and uphold safety and sanitation standards.

• Ability to work well under fast-paced conditions.

• Extensive knowledge in wine, beverages and bartending practices.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations at The Wilde.
• Supervise front-of-house team including servers, hosts, and bartenders.
• Train and mentor staff on customer service expectations and food safety standards.
• Plan, supervise, and control restaurant operations with the Banquets & Events Director.
• Anticipate guest needs and resolve complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Operate the POS system and manage reservations and bookings.
• Collaborate with culinary team on food preparation and presentation.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards across the venue.
• Foster a positive, professional work environment.

OUR ROLE

We are in search of an inspirational, dynamic Restaurant Supervisor - The Wilde who will demonstrate and ensure the highest level of courteous and efficient service to ensure guests feel welcome and that their needs are attended to. This position will consistently provide a seamless dining experience for all customers by assisting in overseeing daily operations, supervising the team and ensuring the highest level of service excellence and hospitality.

Key accountabilities include:

• Consistently deliver exceptional service to The Wilde’s guests and associates, setting a shining example for everyone to follow.
• Supervise The Wilde’s front-of-house team, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, to ensure efficient and seamless service.
• Train and mentor team members in The Wilde’s customer service expectations, best practices, and food safety standards.
• Plan, supervise, and control various restaurant operations at The Wilde, working closely with and supporting the Banquets & Events Director.
• Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, acknowledge all guests, and resolve complaints effectively to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
• Encourage and motivate The Wilde team by maintaining a positive, professional, and supportive attitude.
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system and maintain the security and proper use of the system.
• Ensure the correct setup and readiness of The Wilde for daily functions, reservations, and bookings.
• Collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure timely food preparation, service, and presentation.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment at The Wilde by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures while complying with all applicable health and legal regulations.

YOUR STORY

• A seasoned professional with a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role.
• A post-secondary education in Hospitality or other related discipline.
• Someone with an outstanding work ethic, along with a track record of reliability, punctuality and an approachable demeanor, with a strong commitment to Safety.
• Someone who has solid leadership skills, adept at training, coaching and motivating a team of service professionals.
• An exceptional problem-solver, knowing how to troubleshoot, resolve situations efficiently, with the ability to shift priorities as needed.
• Able to work well under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communicator who values teamwork and collaboration.
• Someone with extensive knowledge in wine, beverages and bartending practices.
• Physically able to stand, sit, walk for extended periods of time.
• Physically able to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 40 pounds without assistance.
