Responsibilities
Tasks
  • Analyze budgets to boost and maintain restaurant profits
  • Develop budgets to determine costs of food, ingredients, alcohol, and supplies
  • Evaluate daily operations
  • Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the budget
  • Monitor staff performance
  • Plan and organize daily operations
  • Train staff
  • Determine and implement operational procedures and services
  • Balance cash and complete financial reports
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Cost products and services
  • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Negotiate with suppliers and clients
  • Participate in marketing plans
  • Lead and instruct staff
  • Address customer complaints and provide excellent service
  • Supervise staff or team
