Job summary

Southlake Health in Newmarket, ON is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Educator to provide leadership, education and clinical expertise to support staff competency and evidence-based practice. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop pathways, implement education plans and advance respiratory care through teaching, coaching and workflow optimization.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, familiarity with CRTO standards, and a track record of education in acute care.

Qualifications

• Must be in good standing with the CRTO/CSRT affiliation preferred.
• Familiarity with CRTO Standards and Guidelines required.
• Minimum 3 years acute care clinical experience.
• Strong presentation and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, education and clinical expertise to support staff development.
• Develop and implement education plans and clinical pathways with interprofessional teams.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and coordinate student/learner education and placements.
• Support staff orientation and access to evidence-based respiratory care practices.
