BayCare Health System in Tampa Bay area seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the Pediatric/Neonatal Transport Team. You will deliver respiratory care under physician orders, following hospital protocols, and work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety.

Experience in NICU or transport is highly preferred; ACLS/BLS/NRP and NBRC RRT credential are required or active. Night shift, 6:30PM–7:00AM, with every-other weekend may apply.

Qualifications

• 1 year of respiratory experience.
• NICU or transport background preferred (Level II/III).
• Active NBRC credential for RRT; current ACLS/BLS/NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care under physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Perform noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
• Plan, organize, and manage daily transport-related operations.
• Work with Pediatric/Neonatal Transport Team; NICU/transport background preferred.

Description

• The Registered Respiratory Therapist is a clinical professional who utilizes the department's scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.
• The Registered Respiratory Therapist delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment. Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
• Responsible for appropriate utilization of team resources to effectively and efficiently provide clinical services and quality patient outcomes. Accountable for planning, organizing and controlling all aspects of daily operations.
• This role will be for the Pediatric/Neonatal Transport Team. A background in Transport or the NICU is highly preferred.

• A background in NICU or Transport - 20,000 Level II or Level III NICU Experience
