Job summary

Coast Mountains School District 82 is seeking a temporary, full-time Resource & Other teacher for Nechako Elementary, Kitimat, BC. Start date is immediate to June 30, 2027, or the return of the incumbent.

The role requires a BC Teaching Certificate or eligibility, and experience across grade levels. You will collaborate with staff to develop ILPs, manage classrooms, and support students with academic, social and emotional needs within the revised BC Curriculum framework.

Qualifications

• Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate or eligible for.
• Experience teaching students at all grade levels.
• Knowledge of the revised BC Curriculum and its core competencies.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized learning plans for students with learning, social or emotional needs.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to relate well with students, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction across grade levels at Nechako Elementary School.
• Collaborate with colleagues to implement individualized learning plans (ILPs).
