Job summary

Made by Momma, a grassroots charity in Calgary, is seeking a Resource Centre Support to help manage inventory of food and family essentials, assist families and volunteers, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

This full-time, on-site role collaborates with interns, tracks donations, handles data entry, prepares packages, and supports volunteer onboarding.

Qualifications

• Strong Analytical Skills to track inventory, monitor usage patterns, and support data-informed decisions about resource allocation.
• Excellent Communication abilities to interact clearly and respectfully with families, volunteers, donors, and interns in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Customer Service experience to provide empathetic, professional, and solution-focused support to individuals accessing services.
• Resource Management skills to organize, prioritize, and maintain supplies, donations, and materials in a structured and efficient manner.
• Training capabilities to support onboarding and guidance for new volunteers and to reinforce best practices within the Resource Centre.
• Comfort working in a busy, community-focused environment and collaborating with diverse groups of people.
• Basic computer proficiency (e.g., spreadsheets, databases, email) and attention to detail in documentation and record-keeping.
• Previous experience in community services, non-profit settings, or similar roles is an asset; relevant education or training in social services, community support, or administration is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Organizing and maintaining inventory of food, baby supplies, and family essentials, ensuring items are labeled and stored correctly.
• Assists families, visitors, and volunteers by providing information, responding to inquiries, and coordinating the distribution of resources in a respectful and compassionate manner.
• Data entry, tracking donations and outgoing items.
• Preparing packages for distribution to families and individuals in need.
• Supporting training for new volunteers on Resource Centre procedures.

Role Description The Resource Centre Support role is a full-time, on-site position located in Calgary, AB.
