Job summary

Ice River Sustainable Solutions is seeking a Resin Plastics Operator in Feversham, Ontario to safely run the plastic resin production line and monitor equipment for consistent output. You will manage PLC-driven machinery, ensure resin supply, clear jams, and support quality checks during 12-hour rotating days and nights.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail oriented with experience in quality assurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Perform required tasks in a timely fashion.
• Follow processes and instructions precisely.
• Follow health and safety standards and maintain a clean work station.

Responsibilities

• Operate plastics machine via PLC touch screens.
• Ensure resin supply in hopper and clear jams.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventative tasks to meet specifications and avoid downtime.
• Perform quality inspections for each product produced.
• Follow GMP, HACCP and 5S to maintain a clean, organized area.
• Document downtime and reasons for downtime.
• Document and flag quality issues regularly.
• Remove and safely dispose of purge material generated by machines.
• Direct finished goods to silo storage or bags for shipping.
• Produce production reports during the shift.
• Operate forklift.
• Clean the extruder as required.
