Job summary

Family Services of Greater Vancouver (FSGV) is hiring a Residential Youth Worker for our Vancouver sites. You will work with at-risk youth (16–21), providing safe housing support, basic needs assistance, and connections to longer-term services in a trauma-informed, client-led environment.

Role involves shift work, collaboration with a partner, and potential cross-training after three months. Prior diploma in a related field is required, plus key safety certifications and willingness to engage in

Qualifications

• Diploma in a related human/social service field.
• One year related experience with emphasis on homelessness, mental health, addictions, and/or social services.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive care for at-risk youth in collaboration with a shift partner.
• Assist youth with basic needs, connections to longer-term services, and goal planning.
• Document and report to the Assistant Manager; participate in program planning and review.
• Possible cross-training for both Safehouse and Haven locations after three months.
