Job summary

Directions Youth Services, a division of Family Services of Greater Vancouver (FSGV), seeks a Youth Worker for evenings in Vancouver, BC. This part-time position supports youth aged 16–21 in a voluntary residential program, with shift partners and strong collaboration with the Assistant Manager.

Qualifications

Diploma in a related human/ social services field
1 year related experience with emphasis on homelessness, mental health, addictions, and/or social services
Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Responsibilities

Engage in client-centered change by establishing respectful relationships and increasing client motivation for positive change and ability to observe and recognize change in clients
Initiate and influence case management and creatively support complex decision-making
Collaborate with staff to provide responsive care for youth and report to the Assistant Manager
