Job summary

Government of Nova Scotia's Service Nova Scotia is seeking a professional to oversee the province’s residential tenancies program, directing public information, dispute resolution, policy development and program modernization.

You will lead a team of professionals, mentor staff, coordinate with other departments, and ensure policies align with government objectives while managing risks and information systems.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required; Master’s degree would be an asset.
• Understanding of government processes and experience building internal/external stakeholder relationships.
• Experience leading teams and managing organizational change.
• Strong written and oral communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the residential tenancy program, including dispute resolution.
• Direct public information, policy development and program modernization activities.
• Lead a team of professionals and mentor staff to meet priorities.
• Coordinate cross-department housing initiatives and manage risk.
