Job summary

Pier 4 is actively seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and upkeep across our residential properties in Nova Scotia. The role requires proficiency in carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing and electrical work, with a focus on safety and resident satisfaction.

We offer a fully on-site position at 800 Windmill Road, Dartmouth, with a competitive salary range and a comprehensive rewards package. Candidates must have a valid Nova Scotia driver’s license and own tools.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years' experience in residential maintenance or related trade.
Proficient in carpentry, painting, drywall, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
Valid Nova Scotia driver's license with clean record.
Own tools and reliable vehicle required.
Able to work on-site full-time, on-call rotation.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs in residential suites, common areas, and building systems.
Complete suite turnovers, renovations, and general repairs to maintain move-in ready standards.
Respond promptly to resident service requests and deliver excellent customer service.
Perform carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, minor plumbing, and basic electrical repairs.
Diagnose maintenance issues and implement effective solutions.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
Assist with seasonal property upkeep, including grounds maintenance and snow removal.
Respond to after-hours emergencies and participate in an on-call rotation.
Maintain accurate work order and maintenance records.
Travel between assigned properties as required.
