Job summary

Adult & Teen Challenge of Central Canada is seeking a Recovery Support Worker to provide direct supervision, structure, safety oversight, and practical daily support in an in-residence program. You will help maintain a safe, respectful environment while supporting campus operations.

The role emphasizes Christ-centered leadership, spiritual mentorship, and collaboration with staff to walk alongside individuals on their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Education in addiction services or related fields preferred.
• Experience in recovery, ministry, mentoring, or residential care is an asset.
• Valid driver’s licence required.
• Safe food handling certificate considered an asset.
• Ability to obtain a clear Vulnerable Sector Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise clients and maintain program structure during shifts.
• Encourage healthy routines, participation, accountability, and respectful behaviour.
• Observe and report behavioural, emotional, or safety concerns.
• Support daily structure, schedules, activities, transportation, and events as needed.
• Assist with maintaining a safe, respectful, and healthy recovery environment.
• Support fundraising and financial revenue sources.
• Assist with outreaches and off-campus outings and events.
• Participation with students in work detail; facilitate support groups.
• Conduct room and facility checks; manage shift responsibilities.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, or crises; maintain campus safety.
• Complete shift logs, incident reports, and maintain communication updates.
