Job summary

A residential development organization is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for residential building projects. The role involves the design of mechanical systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and P.Eng designation in Ontario, along with substantial experience. Qualifications

• Several years of experience in mechanical building systems design.
• Working knowledge of building codes and standards like OBC, CSA, ASHRAE, and NFPA.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for residential buildings including HVAC.
• Prepare and review mechanical calculations and specifications.
• Coordinate designs with architectural and structural disciplines.
• Review shop drawings and provide technical input.
