Job summary

EQ Bank in Toronto is seeking a Residential Lending Strategy Intern to support Mortgage Retention and HELOC initiatives. You will work with cross‑functional teams to drive strategy using qualitative and quantitative input, and help develop recommendations for growth.

The role emphasizes analytics, dashboard development with Power BI/Excel, and collaboration across financial services, with hybrid in-office presence at 2200-25 Ontario Street, Toronto.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in University or College program (Finance, Business, Accounting or Economics is preferred).
• Extensive working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, SQL).
• Strong analytical skills, strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent time management and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in discovery and planning for strategic and tactical topics (e.g., customer retention, portfolio growth, pricing, regulatory).
• Support business case development with qualitative/quantitative data.
• Develop dashboards and insights using Power BI and Excel for portfolio metrics.
• Support cross-functional data requests and market research; present key insights and recommendations.
