Job summary

EQ Bank is seeking a Director, Strategy, Risk & Business Operations to lead strategic planning, risk governance, and performance across the Reverse Mortgage and Insurance Lending business. You will oversee risk activities, coordinate reporting to executives and the board, and drive enterprise initiatives with cross-functional teams in a hybrid setting in Toronto.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years in strategy, risk management, or related leadership roles within financial services.
• Deep understanding of credit risk, operational risk, governance frameworks and regulatory environments.
• Experience preparing Executive Committee, Board, and Risk Committee materials.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting and business case development.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual strategic planning, financial forecasting, and KPI development.
• Oversee risk management across credit, operational, compliance, legal, conduct and reputational risk.
• Coordinate reporting to Board, Executive Committee, ERMC, and regulators.
• Drive cross-functional transformation initiatives and governance frameworks.
• Lead development of new products and growth opportunities and manage cross-functional teams.
