Job summary

Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is seeking a Leasing Representative for the London area. The role offers a base salary plus leasing commissions and opportunities for training and growth within a supportive team.

Responsibilities include fielding leasing inquiries, showing suites, following up with prospects, processing applications and leases, and performing market surveys. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in property management or sales and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role or in property management/real estate
• 1–2 years’ experience in sales, marketing and/or customer service
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Previous experience posting ads on Kijiji; familiarity with Yardi is an asset
• Must be flexible and able to work evenings/weekends; must be willing to travel between properties; mileage compensated

Responsibilities

• Field all leasing communication by phone, email and in person
• Perform showings of suites and tours of properties
• Follow up with prospective tenants after showing to close the sale
• Assist with administrative duties
• Process applications and lease signings
• Perform bi-weekly market surveys
• Utilize Yardi Customer Relationship Software in day-to-day leasing functions
• Other duties as assigned
