Lookout Housing and Health Society is seeking a Building Attendant to support housing operations at The Village. The role covers administrative, maintenance, and security tasks within the residence, reporting to the Site Manager and aligning with Lookout’s ethics.
Successful respirator fit testing is required, with casual shifts including evenings and weekends. Applicants must have a Grade 12 and two years of relevant experience, plus an Occupational First Aid Level 1 certificate.

The Village
Friday through Monday
Shift times will be Friday & Saturday 0000 - 0800 Hours and Sunday & Monday 0030 - 0830 Hours
Shifts are 7.5 hours in length
Days of rest shall be consecutive. Schedule may change with two weeks’ notice
Probationary/qualifying period will be 488 hours with mid and end point reviews
$28.56 - 30.45 depending upon applicants' length of seniority (as per the Collective Agreement)
The Building Attendant (BA) reports to the Site Manager and works in accordance with the mission and philosophy of Lookout Housing and Health Society, including following Lookout’s Code of Ethics. Building Attendants perform a variety of administrative, maintenance, and security functions within the residence managed by Lookout.
This position requires successful completion of respirator fit testing, as Lookout is COR (Certificate of Recognition) certified and must comply with WorkSafeBC health and safety requirements. To ensure a proper respirator seal during fit testing and use, employees are required to be clean-shaven where the respirator seals against the face.
