Job description

Brandt is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician for the Estevan and surrounding area, reporting to our Regina Material Handling location. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of forklift-based equipment and attachments.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Efficiently evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair heavy-duty equipment.
2. Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
3. Operate related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
4. Accurately document all machine information, actions taken, and time spent on work orders.
5. Assess service task hazards continuously and ensure work is performed safely and according to standards.
6. Utilize computer applications and information systems (e.g., John Deere Service Advisor) to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
7. Use parts catalogues to locate and order parts from parts personnel.
8. Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
