Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or equivalent experience and capability.

Warehouse Floater Position

The Warehouse Floater is responsible for the continuous maintenance of stores and the flow of materials from stores to production.

Candidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.

Job Description

Working under minimal supervision, the Warehouse Floater performs all duties of a Material Handler, including:

  1. Receiving, shipping, and maintaining the ERP system.
  2. Receiving, unpacking, and checking incoming materials and documentation.
  3. Unloading carriers.
  4. Maintaining files and processing documentation.
  5. Operating duplicating and automated record-keeping equipment, including computers (ERP system).
  6. Operating forklift trucks and other equipment.
  7. Checking and issuing materials, sorting, storing, and transporting materials, and managing stock levels.
  8. Receiving, counting, and checking units for shipment, verifying documentation.
  9. Packing articles and securing containers with labels/shipping info.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Grade 12 or equivalent experience and capability.
  • Successful completion of Forklift Operation Training.
  • Broad knowledge of inventory control and material handling techniques.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Competent reading and writing skills.
  • Physical ability to perform job demands.

*** Please note that this position is for the 10pm to 7am shift. ***

Typically, a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 1+ years of related experience are required.
