Job description

Brandt is currently seeking a Resident Heavy Equipment Technician based in High Prairie, reporting to the Grande Prairie branch.

This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment and attachments in a field environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Efficiently evaluate the working condition of equipment, diagnose issues, assemble/disassemble, order parts, and repair equipment.
2. Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
3. Operate related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
4. Accurately document all machine information, actions taken, and time spent on work orders.
5. Continuously assess hazards related to service tasks and ensure work is performed safely and according to standards.
6. Utilize computer applications and information systems (e.g., John Deere Service Advisor) to document maintenance, inspections, and diagnoses.
7. Use parts catalogues to locate and order parts from parts personnel.
8. Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
