Job summary

Mon Sheong Foundation in Richmond Hill, Ontario, seeks an Administrator to oversee the Long-Term Care Home's operations, ensuring resident-focused care and compliance with FLTCA and provincial standards. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and manage day-to-day activities.

The role requires strong leadership, financial management, and HR oversight with budget, contract, risk, and quality program responsibilities while maintaining community relations with residents, families and regulators.

Qualifications

• Managerial experience in facility based or community based long-term care services.
• Post-secondary degree (3+ years) or diploma (2 years) in health or social services.
• At least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity in health or social services.
• Course/certification in long-term care management recognized by Ontario MOHLTC.
• Demonstrated leadership, financial management and administrative abilities.
• Resident-centered care leadership and Quality & Risk Management.
• Bilingual – English and Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin as asset).
• Knowledge of current trends and legislation in Long Term Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to manage all aspects of home operations.
• Establish staffing patterns and organizational structure to meet resident needs within resources.
• Collaborate with Medical Director, physicians, and care coordinators to maintain high resident care standards.
• Develop structures for accountability and serve as Risk Manager with Quality Improvement activities.
• Maintain relationships with Ministry personnel and oversee contracts, risk, and compliance.
• Schedule regular management meetings and promote staff participation in training.
• Ensure HR practices align with organization standards and promote a healthy work environment.
• Prepare annual operating and capital budgets with department heads and financial department.
