Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse desired.
  • Previous supervisory experience in long-term care is an asset.

In anticipation to open in the Fall of 2025, we are searching for a full-time Resident Care Manager to join our new Opal Ridge Enhanced Care team based in Bedford, Nova Scotia.

About The Opportunity

  • Consistently ensures service delivery meets established brand standards in terms of quality, safety, timeliness, and customer service.
  • Establishes strong processes of utilizing formal and informal resident feedback to influence operational practices.
  • Oversees the orientation of new Residents through established standards .
  • Ensures all departments are in compliance with established organizational Brand Standards, Policies, and Procedures.
  • Initiates, supports activities that will result in best possible outcome for residents
  • Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure RAI-LTCF assessment outcomes are understood and incorporated in the care plan
  • Attends training and other educational activities to maintain current knowledge of the RAI-LTCF process.
  • Provides RAI-LTCF education and computer application training to all applicable users

About You

  • Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Current registration with the provincial College of Registered Nurses
  • Demonstrated computer skills and ability to use electronic information systems, including but not limited to electronic health records, human capital management systems, etc.
  • Asset: Previous supervisory/leadership experience in long term care or a health service environment
