Job summary

Jardins le Flandre, a private seniors' residence in Limoilou, seeks a part-time evening resident care attendant. Completion of AP/RPA training or DEP in Personal Assistance in Institutions and at Home is preferred.

Responsibilities include assisting residents, supporting care plans, distributing medications, handling emergencies, and reporting health changes to the on-call nurse. Evening schedule with alternating weekend shifts.

• CPR/AED/First aid certification current

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Schedule: Part-time evening position with one weekend out of two

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
• Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
• Contribute to the development of a residentsè action plan based on their observations
• Distribute medication in pill organizers and provide some invasive care (as needed and provided you have the necessary training)
• Respond to all emergency situations
• While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Up-to-date CPR/AED general first aid training
• PDSP training
• AP/RPA or DEP training in personal assistance in establishments and at home
• Law 90
