Job summary

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a Health Care Aide to provide direct client care in a long-term care setting at the West-Man Nursing Home (Virden). The role supports residents with activities of daily living, follows individualized care plans, documents care, and maintains a safe and supportive environment under the supervision of the team leader.

Qualifications include a Health Care Aide Certificate and current CPR/BLS training.

Qualifications

• Health Care Aide Certificate required.
• CPR/BLS training required or equivalent.
• Demonstrated organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and flexible to adjust procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living to promote independence.
• Follow individualized care plans and report changes to the team leader.
• Document care in client health records and flow sheets.
• Maintain safety, hygiene, and infection prevention practices.
• Support mobility, feeding, and personal care as directed by the care plan.

Education

Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized program

CPR / Basic Life Support Training
