Job summary

Sun Peaks Grand Hotel in British Columbia seeks a Reservations Supervisor to manage day-to-day reservations operations and handle calls with a focus on guest experience. This role guides a team to ensure meticulous attention, care, and consistency in service across all reservations interactions.

The position requires post-secondary hospitality education and at least two years in Reservations/Front Office, with proficiency in Opera and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • Completion of post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in the Reservations or Front Office department.
  • Proficient in computer systems, including Microsoft Office and Opera.
  • Exhibits a professional demeanor and delivers exceptional guest service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing day-to-day reservations department operations.
  • Handle reservation calls on a regular basis and uphold phone etiquette.
  • Oversee, train, and monitor reservations activities aligned with SOG standards.
  • Implement new SOGs and ensure compliance with approved processes.

The role of the Reservations Supervisor is integral in crafting a positive guest experience. They serve as the initial point of contact, ensuring that each reservation is made with meticulous attention, care, and intention. This meticulous process prepares the hotel operations team to welcome guests and provide an exceptional experience. Compensation Information: $24.27 per hour

Physical Requirement: Light; work activities involve handling loads up to 10kg; Predominantly in an indoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Skills you bring with you:

  • Completion of post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field.

Primary Responsibilities:

Guest Experience:

  • Assist in managing day-to-day reservations department operations. Handles reservation calls on a regular basis.
  • Consistently upholds approved Standard Operating Guidelines (SOG) for phone etiquette and call quality standards in all guest interactions, serving as a role model for the team.
  • Serves as the Reservations Group and Tour champion.
  • Oversees, trains, and monitors all reservations activities, ensuring compliance with Director of Reservations (DOR)- approved Standard Operating Guidelines (SOG) processes and standards.
  • Implements new SOGs with Reservations Agents and Guest Service Agents as required.
