Job summary

Charles River is seeking a Research Scientist for the Immunogenicity team at the Senneville site. The role involves designing and conducting Laboratory Sciences studies, interpreting results, and producing high-quality reports.

You will coordinate all study activities and ensure accurate cost estimates, with regular communication with study directors and sponsors. Minimum qualifications include a Master or PhD in Immunology with 3–5 years in a scientific role, plus experience in 3D cell models

Qualifications

  • Master in Immunology or PhD with 3–5 years in a scientific position.
  • Experience with advanced cellular models (3D cell cultures) and computational biology.
  • Experience with immunoassay techniques (ELISAs, ECLs, Luminex, flow cytometry, ELISpot).

  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of study related Laboratory Sciences procedures.

Job Overview

As aResearch Scientist for our Immunogenicity team at the Senneville location, you will serve as a Study Scientist or Principal Investigator responsible for the design, conduct of study related laboratory activities, interpretation and reporting of Laboratory Sciences studies efficiently, profitably and with the maximum scientific quality.

In this role, primary responsibilities include:

  • Design, write, review, and edit study plans, amendments and study schedules that define and schedule all study activities;
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of study related Laboratory Sciences procedures, whether performed within the department or by service departments;
  • Prepare analytical procedures and assays;
  • Conduct laboratory analysis and all related laboratory activities;
  • Analyze scientific problems, troubleshoot analytical methods and technical issues;
  • Write scientific documents, review and interpret the raw data;
  • Write, review, and edit stand‑alone contributing Scientist draft and/or final reports that document all study related procedures and results;
  • Prompt verbal or written communications with Study Directors and/or Sponsor on study related business in a timely manner;
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of project cost estimates;
  • Notify the Principal Scientist and/or the Scientific Director of scientist or technical problems as soon as they become apparent.

We are looking for the followingminimum qualifications for this role:

  • Holder of a Master in Immunology or any other related discipline with a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience working in a Scientific position or PhD in Immunology or any biological related discipline;
  • Experience in advanced cellular models (including 3D cell cultures and complex MPS), computational biology, and/or innovative technologies.
  • Experience with predictive immunogenicity assays, such as MAPPS, proliferation assays, in vitro DC maturation assays, DC‑T cells co‑culture assays and peripheral tissue equivalent (PTE) is an asset.
  • Experience with immunoassay techniques (ELISAs, ECLs, Luminex, flow cytometry, ELISpot) is an asset;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Strong problem‑solving skills;
  • Work with precision, pay attention to detail and strive for quality work.
Role Specific Information
  • Transportation: We offer a free shuttle service from the Sainte‑Anne‑de‑Bellevue train station and John Abbott College to the Senneville site. Free parking. Electric vehicle charging station;
  • Annual bonus based on performance;
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime schedule;
  • Permanent position as of the hiring, full‑time 37.5hrs per week.
