Placements24 seeks a Research Scientist in Genetics and Genomics to join our client’s Kimberley team. You design and conduct genomic studies, analyze large datasets, and interpret results in a hybrid on-site/remote setting.

The role requires a Ph.D. with 3+ years post-doctoral or industry experience, proficiency in R/Python, and experience with NGS data analysis, plus strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of post-doctoral or relevant industry experience in genetics and genomics research.
• Proficiency in genetic analysis software and statistical programming languages (R, Python).
• Experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement genetic and genomic studies, including association studies and sequencing projects.
• Analyze large-scale genomic datasets using bioinformatics tools and statistical methods.
