JOB OPPORTUNITY

Position Information

Location: Coquitlam Campus
Salary Range: $71,846 - $115,129 annually. Placement on the faculty salary scale is based on education, professional certification, and experience, in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

The Opportunity

This position is responsible for building research capacity and assisting Health Sciences faculty to engage in research. The individual will provide leadership and support in developing and implementing research, promote faculty and student team development, and facilitate research activities. The role aims to enhance research capacity among Health Science faculty and students, supporting all related programs in research and scholarship activities.

WHAT IT TAKES

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with faculty to assess, plan, and promote research activities.
  • Develop and maintain a database of current health science research projects.
  • Identify and facilitate collaborative research opportunities.
  • Maintain a resource repository and organize professional development workshops.
  • Assist faculty with research resources, publications, and conference submissions.
  • Recommend and advise on research resources and development pathways.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in a Health Sciences discipline or related field; Ph.D. preferred.
  • At least 3 years of research experience in a Health Sciences discipline.
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience in post-secondary education.
  • Knowledge of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • One or more peer-reviewed publications; conference presentation experience desirable.

Additional Information

The role is for a one-year term starting September 1, 2025, with potential extension up to three years. Four sections of time release are available for 2025-2026.
