Job summary

Royal Holloway University of London invites applications for the post of Research Contracts and IP Manager within the Research Contracts team of Research and Innovation. The role focuses on enabling delivery of the University's strategic plan and supports challenge-led research and partnerships.

Reporting to the Head of Research Contracts, you will manage the University's academic research income and intellectual property portfolio, with emphasis on drafting and negotiating research and IP

Qualifications

  • Significant experience drafting and negotiating research-related agreements.
  • Experience with intellectual property agreements and IP portfolio management.
  • Experience supporting commercialisation of research outputs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the University's academic research income and IP portfolio.
  • Draft and negotiate research and IP agreements with internal and external partners.
  • Support commercialisation activities and collaborate with stakeholders.

This is a key role for the University, focussing on enabling the delivery of the University’s strategic plan and its commitment to challenge-led research and partnership. Reporting to the Head of Research Contracts, the Research Contracts and IP Manager is one of a team responsible for the efficient and effective management of the University’s academic research income and intellectual property portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with significant experience of the drafting and negotiating of research related agreements and intellectual property agreements and preferably some experience of supporting the commercialisation of research outputs. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be a team player with the ability to think and act independently.
