RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position Summary
The MyeliNeuroGene Research Laboratory, directed by Dr. Genevieve Bernard, MD, MSc, a clinician-scientist, is looking for a motivated person to fill the position of full-time Research Associate. The team specializes in genetic white matter diseases, leukodystrophies, and related disorders. Under the direction of the principal investigator, the candidate participates in the execution of various activities including expertise in iPSCs, OPCs, OLs, organoids, and other CNS cell cultures. The incumbent is also expected to contribute to grant writing.

General Duties
  1. Supervise and train student researchers;
  2. Supervise the overall iPSC Platform;
  3. Maintain cultures of iPSCs and differentiated cell types;
  4. Generate CRISPR edited iPSC lines;
  5. Contribute to grant writing.
