The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. Position summary
Department / Research Program: MeDiC

The project seeks to develop a new treatment approach for glioblastoma. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the synthesis of multifunctional molecules and analyzing their ability to cross the blood-brain barrier using several techniques including mass spectrometry imaging. The incumbent must have a PhD in medicinal chemistry or equivalent with experience in mass spectrometry bioanalysis.

General Duties
  1. Ability to perform practical organic synthesis.
  2. Ability to perform and analyze NMR experiments.
  3. Ability to perform LC-MS analysis and mass spectroscopy imaging.
  4. Knowledge of spatial omics and proteomics is an asset.
